Tell us about the beginning of your interest in darts. The Drexel Faculty club put up a board, and we just started playing. After we thought we were getting better, we heard some talk of league play. A few of us joined the New Wave Team. Worked our game up from there.
In which league(s) do you play? Currently, OEDL of Philadelphia, and one year on QCEDL
Which other family members play? None
How far from home do you play? 1-10 miles.
How many days per week do you engage in darts? League once, practice 3.
What kind of darts do you use: weight! brand? Started with Pirahna, then Voks 23g, now Voks 27g
What is the most annoying antic you see from other dart players? George Jones standing there looking military, lol, pounding the board is the worst I’ve seen.
Tell us about conflicts darts created in home or work life? Making it on time to matches, getting dinner, and having the wife pissed about rushing off.
What goals in darts do you have? I’d like to elevate my game to the point where I feel I can win against anyone, be consistant, a steady contributor to our team. I think we can lead and win the league we are in this year.
What has been your best moment in darts? Hitting 5 bullseye in a playoff game, and stealing the win and the match.
What’s your advice to a newbie dart player? Find a team at your skill level, no fun if you don’t play much. Practice, get involved, move up when your ready, you’ll get better playing against better competition.
What would make your league better and more fun? More teams.
What does the sport need to help it grow and improve its image? A code of ethics. More Ladies & Gentlemen.
